Description
Suber-Paint: Thermal Cork Paint for Facades and Roofs
Protect and enhance with Suber-Paint, a water-based paint formulated with pure acrylic copolymers, polyurethane resins, natural cork microparticles, and reflective pigments. This eco-friendly coating provides thermal insulation, waterproofing, acoustic improvement, and decoration for facades and roofs. Its low thermal conductivity and high elasticity make it ideal for sustainable projects seeking durability and aesthetics.
Key Features
- Thermal Insulation: Cork thermal conductivity of 0.035 W/m·K, reduces heat flow by up to 56%, eliminating thermal bridges.
- Waterproofing: Liquid water permeability of 0.00 kg/(m²·h⁰·⁵), protects roofs, terraces, and facades.
- Acoustic Improvement: Sound-absorbing, reduces airborne noise, impact, and reverberation.
- Anti-Crack Elasticity: High flexibility, even at low temperatures, eliminates cracks and fissures.
- Breathable: Class I water vapor permeability, prevents condensation and minimizes mold and fungi.
- High Adhesion: 1.4 MPa, compatible with concrete, wood, PVC, fibrocement, and more.
- Weather Resistance: Excellent color retention, washable, and resistant to wet scrubbing.
- Customizable Finish: Available in 28 colors and NCS chart upon technical consultation, with high coverage.
Why Choose Suber-Paint?
Suber-Paint is the perfect solution for facades and roofs requiring protection, insulation, and a decorative finish. Its formula, with a density of 1.1 kg/L and sandy texture, ensures easy application and a lasting finish. This coating eliminates moisture, reduces condensation on metal roofs, and enhances thermal-acoustic comfort, making it ideal for roofs, terraces, balconies, and exposed facades.
Application Guidelines
- Surface Preparation: Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and dust-free. Sand polished surfaces, repair degraded areas (mold, moss) with water and bleach, and apply Fungilev if needed. Use Thermal Putty or mortar for defects and Suber-Fix on powdery surfaces.
- Mixing: Mix until homogeneous, adding up to 8-15% clean water if necessary.
- Application: Apply with a brush, roller, or suitable spray gun, with a maximum thickness of 0.75-1 mm per coat. Allow 5-6 hours drying between coats at 20°C.
- Consumption: 0.6 L/m² for reflective insulation; 0.6-1.5 L/m² for insulation and waterproofing on facades; 2 L/m² for roofs. Yields 3-5 m² per liter per coat.
