Microlev: Decorative Microcement with Natural Cork
Elevate your spaces with Microlev, a thin-layer coating formulated with natural cork granules, micronized cements, metakaolins, high-quality resins, and natural inorganic pigments. This flexible, breathable microcement is ideal for floors, walls, and ceilings, offering a seamless decorative finish, moisture resistance, and thermal-acoustic improvement. Perfect for projects seeking aesthetics and functionality.
Key Features
- Decorative Finish: Seamless, continuous surface, ideal for modern floors and walls.
- Thermal Insulation: Thermal conductivity of 0.059 W/m·K, addresses mold, fungi, and condensation issues.
- Acoustic Improvement: Reduces airborne noise, impact, and reverberation.
- Moisture Resistance: Class I water vapor permeability and resistant to liquid water (0.006 kg/(m²·h⁰·⁵)).
- Elasticity: High flexibility prevents shrinkage cracks, even on surfaces with structural movement.
- High Adhesion: 1.0 MPa, compatible with concrete, wood, glass, ceramic, PVC, and more.
- Versatility: Suitable for irregular surfaces like textured paint or ceramics, for smoothing and leveling.
- Customizable Finish: Can be painted (with water-based paints), varnished, sanded (60-120 grit), tiled, or left as applied, available in Suberlev color chart.
Why Choose Microlev Microcement?
Microlev is the ideal choice for those seeking a decorative and functional coating. Its formula, with a density of 1.06 kg/L and pH of 7.8 ± 1, allows thin-layer application (max 2 mm) for an elegant, durable finish. This microcement enhances thermal-acoustic comfort, eliminates condensation issues, and provides a seamless surface, perfect for floors, walls, and ceilings in residential and commercial spaces.
Application Guidelines
- Surface Preparation: Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and dust-free. Repair degraded areas, brush powdery surfaces, and apply Suber-Fix. For cracks, widen them, remove dust, apply Suber-Fix, and repair with Thermal Putty or mortar.
- Mixing: Mix with an industrial mixer at low speed for 3-5 minutes until homogeneous, adding up to 200 mL of clean water per 15 L bucket if needed.
- Application: Apply in thin layers (max 2 mm) with a trowel, spatula, or suitable spray gun. Allow 20-24 hours drying between coats at 20°C.
- Consumption: 1.00 kg/m² per mm of thickness.
