Description

Natural Cork Board: ETICS Boards for Sustainable Insulation

Elevate comfort with Natural Cork Board, an innovative External Thermal Insulation Composite System (ETICS) made from 100% natural cork granules expanded using a water vapor process, free of synthetic agents. These eco-friendly boards provide exceptional thermal, acoustic, and vibrational insulation, perfect for facades, roofs, refrigerated rooms, and vibration-sensitive structures.

Key Features

  • Thermal Insulation: Thermal conductivity of 0.04 W/m·K and heat resistance up to 2.00 m²·K/W (80 mm), enhancing energy efficiency.
  • Sound Insulation: Sound reduction index of 53 dB (double blade 11 cm + 4 cm board), ideal for noisy environments.
  • 100% Natural: Biodegradable, non-toxic, with hygrothermal regulation to manage moisture effectively.
  • Durable: Flexural strength ≥104 kPa, compression strength up to 30 kg/cm², and dimensional stability of 14.4%.
  • Easy Installation: Lightweight, easy-to-cut, and walkable with rigid finishes, streamlining ETICS application.
  • Breathable: Water vapor resistance factor of 5-10, ensuring natural ventilation.
  • Fire Safety: Euroclass E, with a 13-hour thermal delay (20 cm) and no toxic fume emissions.

Why Choose Natural Cork Board?

Natural Cork Board is the ideal choice for sustainable insulation projects requiring thermal, acoustic, and vibrational performance. Its 500 x 1000 mm boards, available in 40, 60, and 80 mm thicknesses, deliver outstanding results with a density of 1.1 ± 0.05 g/cm³. The 100% natural composition and hygrothermal regulation make it perfect for facades, flat or sloped roofs, and industrial applications, ensuring comfort and longevity.

Installation Guidelines

  1. Surface Preparation: Ensure the surface is completely dry, clean, and free of dust, rust, grease, or loose paint. Repair cracks or uneven areas with Thermal Mastic. Avoid high-pressure washing with chemicals to prevent internal moisture.
  2. Adhesive Application: Apply Thermal Mastic with a notched trowel at a coverage rate of 2.2 kg/m² to ensure strong board adhesion.
  3. Board Placement: Install boards from bottom to top, staggering them to avoid continuous joints.
  4. Anchoring: Secure boards with fixing anchors. Seal joints and cover anchor irregularities with Thermal Mastic.
  5. Finishing: Apply 1-2 additional layers of Thermal Mastic to plaster and unify the surface. Once dry, apply the desired finish coat.
